A New Era

Lanvin was one of the most expected shows of the season and one of my favorites.

I remember posting about the last show of Alber Elbaz no long ago, at the time we did not know it was the last one, the last season was in existant and this season the house has decided to give the Creative direction to Bouchra Jarrar, one of the few ladies inside the fashion scene in Paris; famous by her couture collections and greatly respected in the french and international press, made her the right choice. For her first collection she has measured up , infusing the brand with the needed elegance and grace that her founder Jeanne Lanvin gave it at the beginning. We also see her own codes reflected in the collection . It seems like a promising first collection , and a step up for women in the creative side of this fashion bubble.
