Guy Laroche SS 2014
Marcel Marongiu the artistic director of Guy Laroche is creating season by season a very pure modern vision for the iconic house. Innovative materials, simple colors and some futuristic cuts are his trademark. For Spring Summer grey and white dominated the collection with two pieces Ioved, what I would call the “perfect” trench, a good alternative to boring classic and the skirts with ruffles, very feminine. He has been several season’s in the house which is a good sign other houses in revival like Leonard and Paco Rabbane are struggling to find the right artistic direction that gets the brand and walks it through this new era.
