Martin Margiela Fall Winter 2012 – 2013

The “G” in Margiela

As I came in last minute to the Maison Martin Margiela fall winter show, I was placed in a tricky place, I had “G” in front of me, which as I was taking the pictures I was trying to figure out how will I get rid of it. The solution, Why get read of it?, the “G” in the word Margiela is its soul at the end of the day, so I think it was a witty compliment instead of a nuisance. This  collection of the always eclectic and mysterious house  is difficult to define as they always master the art of playing with simplicity to make the extraordinaire ( I don’t know if that makes sense). Between the materials he choses, the little variations in the cuts and that tendency to making look as though the clothes are not completely finished, you just can spot  his creations in  the crowd. This season he played with heights and layers,in the body, in the legs and in the face. Those impressive cashmere  coats that had their necks covering half of the face, or the game with the “two length” skirt where my favorite things this season. Not to mention that some of the materials just made you dream of wearing them. Don’t worry I do have some pictures without the “G” to be on line soon 🙂 as well as other looks.

Be Enigmatic,

Love,

Yavidan
