During this last Fashion Week in Paris, one of my favorite shows was Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. On a chilly Sunday night inside the dark Licee Carnot in the 17th district, Tisci made us forget the cold as the show started. Presenting his strong, powerful woman that even though shows certain thoughness you can see her sensuality through the cut of the clothes and the ways to wear them (I don’t show you my skin, but I show you my attitude). A collection rich in pants (mainly jodhpur shape) more than the last season worn impeccably with riding boots , flowy fabrics mixed with hard leather, using a dark palette mainly (black, chocolate, military green and camel) except for the last dresses at the end where we gave a spotlight to color a spark and gave an interesting contrast to the collection. Most of the pieces had a masculine/feminine side that made each look sublime and I think the power effect came from that. It is true that after 7 years in the house Tisci has matured like wine affirming and empowering his position no only in Givenchy but in the whole fashion scene. As the last Fall Winter collection, I think we are going to see a lot of his pieces on editorials and the fashion week scene. My favorite thing is that chocolate color leather dress and those boots a must of next season.
