Balmain Fall Winter 2012

Baroque Style, Brocade, Embroidary and Ana

This is the first fall winter collection of the new creative director of the House of Balmain Olivier Rousteing who replaced Christophe Decarnin on the beginnings of 2011. This french young age of 25 and just having a school diploma at ESMOD with some experience at Roberto Cavalli (I think Balmain is a little like Cavalli, not on the animal prints but yes on the exuberance). This collection he took where Decarnin left off counting the opulence but at his own way, more brocade tapestry fabrics used in a beautiful way, the use of other colors like the deep green, laser cut velvet and giving the touch of gold through the accessories (belts).  Maybe in price this collection will be more affordable (whatever this means in Balmain…) but instead of paying the price today of an embroidered Balmain dress at 13000 Euros you would pay 5000?? Well will wee to see.

Be Opulent,

Love,

Yavidan
