Velvet

As I saw the Gucci 2012 Fall Winter Collection by Frida Giannini, the first two things that pop out to describe it are black, velvet and flowers. Last year she had more colors and exotic leathers (pythons) but this season she kept the glowers but changed the color. The way she used the brocade in the velvet with transparent fabric is simply sublime. The original touch came in the military black brocade pants that made that very masculine item extremely feminine and original. This season Frida stays on the mountain with an elegant, romantic collection, owning Gucci heritage but marking her feminine touch.
