I first came cross Olaf Hajek’s work 2 years ago by accident while doing some research for project that involved fashion and nature, and I fell in love with his work, it is simply Extraordinaire , I have not seen anything like it. His talent has made him work with big names like Montblanc, Vogue , Rolling Stone among many others. He has his own book out Flowerhead and one in the way. Has collaborated with designers to make prints for their collections and numerous advertising campaigns, there are no limits to what he can do. But there is something else he is not just talented, he is very nice, I met him at his studio last January during The Berlin Fashion Week, just after I landed I left my bags to go to my appointment to meet him, a little stressed from the early flight and not really knowing how to get around Berlin I got to his atelier. As I saw him my stress left, something in his way of being in like an old friend, he offered me a delicious cappuccino and the we calmly sat to chat about his work, what to do in Berlin, life and fashion. Time passed fast as usual when you are having a goof time, I really recommend you to visit his site, get his book and follow his work in Galleries, he is really one of the best illustrators of our time.
