This post is very special to me, it is a first of firsts. In all the year I have been in a fashionable adventure, I have has amazing opportunities to see dream shows, back stages but never a fitting or a real preview. In this upcoming Madrid Mercedes Benz Fashion week I had the privilege to logo first hand at the collection of Jesus del Pozo from the the fitting to the atelier. Which made me see the effort an emotion behind a show first hand, many times we see a show and we don’t imagine the work behind from inspiration boards to arduous fittings that make models look perfect on the catwalk, everything takes so much time and team effort that I can only explain in images. Jesus del Pozo passed away in 2011 leaving a legacy of great design with unique trademarks, his amazing team who has worked closely with him in the past years before his death, got the essence of the designer and reinterpret it with ease (you will see his volumes, mix of textures and colors in the next collection) giving perennial life to his legacy. Here is a sneak pick of what will come tomorrow to surprise us all and maybe the lingering creative soul of one of Spain’s most cherished designers.
