A Dream of Flowers and Color

This morning I had the delight of seeing the Alexis Mabille Spring Summer Haute Couture show. The name of the collection is Color Therapy, as you will see the collection is inspired in color and inside the press kit they chose an amazing quote from Marcel Proust to describe it all “It’s only women who do not know how to dress that are afraid of colors. A dress  may be brilliant a quiet without being dull.” In did you can feel the words in the collection, monochrome dresses that stand out in a beautiful way through their color and lightness.  As a very cute detail the dresses had names, each one was named after a flower (Lys, Gloriosa, Ibiscus, Iris, among other.)  I loved the collection and I adore Alexis Mabille’s work and personality, there is no wonder why the most important people of the press come every season (Suzy Menkes, Hamish Bowles, Tim Blanks, Emmanuelle Alt, among many others) it is impossible not to love him, the pictures talk by themselves. Again as yesterday in Lanvin I had the opportunity to go backstage after the show and wanted to share a collage of images to take you inside, out :).
